WLSN.Studio · Terms of use
The terms
of the work.
Version 2026-10-18-eight-seats · 18 October 2026
1. Overview and scope
These terms govern your use of wlsn.studio and the educational workshops, working sessions, consultations and communications offered by WLSN.Studio (“WLSN,” “we” or “us”). By using these services or submitting an application that accepts these terms, you agree to them. Separate written engagement agreements govern commissioned services and take precedence where they conflict with these terms.
2. Intellectual property
WLSN retains ownership of its original frameworks, teaching materials, tools, slides, exercises, written content and other materials supplied through its services. Third-party material remains the property of its respective owner. Participation does not transfer ownership of WLSN intellectual property. You retain ownership of your existing project information and original project work, subject to WLSN’s rights in underlying workshop materials.
3. Permitted website use
You may browse the site for personal or professional information and share links to public pages.
4. Prohibited website use
You may not systematically extract site content, reproduce it for competing educational products, remove ownership notices, misuse our forms or attempt unauthorized access to the site or its systems.
5. Third-party links
Links to other websites are provided for convenience. WLSN is not responsible for third-party content, services or practices.
6. Informational content
Website and educational content provide general information, not legal, financial, investment or other individualized professional advice. You remain responsible for project decisions and for obtaining advice appropriate to your circumstances. We may update site content and do not guarantee that all information will remain complete or current.
7. Inquiries and client relationships
An inquiry, application or introductory conversation does not create a consulting engagement or oblige WLSN to provide services. Commissioned work requires a separate written agreement.
8. Application and inquiry information
We use information you submit to evaluate fit, curate the workshop group and respond to you. Applications are delivered to Janice’s inbox through our hosting and email service providers. We do not add applicants to a mailing list without a separate opt-in. Please submit only information you have authority to share and omit confidential third-party information that is not necessary for review.
9. Separate engagements
Paid advisory and commissioned services are governed by the engagement agreement provided for that work.
10. Newsletter consent
Subscribing to Receipts or another WLSN mailing list is voluntary and requires your affirmative opt-in.
11. Newsletter content
You may share individual newsletter issues with attribution to WLSN. Republishing, selling or adapting that content into an educational product requires written permission.
12. No advisory relationship
Newsletter content is educational and does not create a client or advisory relationship.
13. Unsubscribing
Use the unsubscribe link in a newsletter or contact janice@wlsn.studio. Messages needed to respond to an existing application or deliver a purchased service are separate from marketing subscriptions.
14. Commercial email
WLSN marketing emails identify the sender, include our physical mailing address and provide an unsubscribe mechanism.
Workshop participation
15. Permitted use of workshop materials
Accepted, registered participants receive a limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to apply the workshop frameworks and concepts to their own hospitality projects and to client projects where they are the practitioner. It does not authorize teaching, licensing or distribution of the workshop materials.
You may keep personal notes and use the worksheets supplied for completion during the workshop. You may describe your project-specific application to a client with attribution to WLSN, but may not hand over or distribute the underlying teaching materials without written permission.
16. Attribution
When referencing a WLSN workshop framework in client deliverables, presentations or other permitted project work, include clear and legible attribution: “Based on frameworks taught by Janice Wilson at WLSN.Studio (wlsn.studio).” Attribution does not grant permission for otherwise prohibited uses.
17. Prohibited uses
Without prior written permission, you may not:
- Record sessions or duplicate teaching materials beyond the permitted personal use above.
- Share, publish, upload or distribute workshop materials in their original or modified form.
- Use the materials or frameworks to teach or facilitate workshops, courses, training programs or other educational offerings.
- Sell, sublicense, rent or otherwise commercialize the workshop materials or adaptations of them.
- Represent a WLSN framework as your independently created work.
18. Participant confidentiality
Keep non-public project information, business strategies and financial information shared by other participants confidential during and after the workshop. Share your own work only to the extent you are authorized to do so. Do not record or distribute another participant’s contribution.
19. Access, attendance and conduct
Admission is by personal application and review. Access is individual and non-transferable. Do not share access links or admit unregistered guests. Live participation in all four sessions is required. WLSN may remove a participant whose conduct is disruptive, disrespectful or violates these terms.
Design Your Hospitality Unicorn meets on four Wednesdays: 28 October, 4, 11 and 18 November 2026, 10:00 AM–12 noon Pacific / 1:00–3:00 PM Eastern. Each live session lasts two hours. Tuition is $1,500 USD. The cohort requires a minimum of eight participants and is capped at eight. Applying does not reserve a seat or charge you. If accepted, you will receive payment instructions and the applicable cancellation, refund and minimum-enrollment arrangements before payment.
20. Warranties and outcomes
To the extent permitted by law, the website and educational services are provided as available without warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability or non-infringement. WLSN does not guarantee uninterrupted website access or particular commercial, financial or project outcomes.
21. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WLSN is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages arising from use of the site or services. WLSN’s total liability for a claim relating to a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service. These terms do not exclude rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
22. Breach
WLSN reserves its rights to seek available remedies for material breaches, including unauthorized distribution or commercialization of its workshop materials.
23. Governing law
These terms are governed by Washington State law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of state and federal courts in Washington State, subject to any mandatory rights under applicable law.
24. Changes
We may update these terms. The version and date appear above. Material changes affecting a registered workshop will be communicated before that service begins.
25. Contact and permissions
For questions or written permission to use materials beyond this license, contact Janice Wilson at janice@wlsn.studio.
